A dry hopped, robust pale ale, Tom Paine is packed with a full, malty palate and bitterness to match.

Tom Paine Ale is brewed to commemorate the bicentenary of Thomas Paine’s “The Rights of Man”. It is thought that Paine helped to draft the American Declaration Of Independence. The beer is brewed to the Standard Excise Gravity of 1055° in honour of the eponymous political radical who was an Excise Officer in Lewes between 1768 – 1774.
